Strange behaviour: when I get something to play I can no longer stop it without rebooting

Hello,

I have a WD TV Live which I recently applied 1.06.15_V. Since then it has become totally messed up and so I tried dowgrading to previous versions without success (i.e., same bad behaviour). What happens is that once I try to play anything (*), it starts playing but if I stop playback it won’t stop and from there on I can’t play anything else (I can still move around in the WDTV menu but that’s it). By, “anything”, I mean from either an USB connected disk or even anything from YouTube.

I’ve browsed the forum and found similar experiences:

Once I disconnect the WDTV from the network (I’m using a WIFI USB dongle) the problem no longer occurs.

I think it’s the same problem as described in both posts.

The key fact is that when you disconnect from the net the problem goes away.

PLEASE file a report with WD on it using the Tech Support website or telephone call.

Unless they see the frequency of this issue, they’re not likely to investigate.

We are looking into this, but need more information.  Can you tell us what the router model number is.
