I have two 4TB G-Drives for storing video. One is the master drive, and the other is a back up using Carbon Copy Cloner. I wanted to clear up space on the Master Drive, so I deleted a bunch of video I no longer need (at least 200 gigs), but the available storage on the drive won’t update. I’ve emptied the trash, I’ve remounted the drives, and I’ve run first aid…still no update. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!
Have you restarted the computer? It is possible it is due to partition corruption on the drive.
The only way to clear that would be to move the data you want to keep off (if not on the other drive already) and just use the Disk Utility to Erase the drive entirely.
