Some of my applications have a problem dealing with the amount of time that it takes for the drives to become accessible when the unit has gone into standby mode. Other than power savings, are there any other benefits (e.g…, unit will last longer, drives will be less likely to fail, etc.) to using standby mode?
Also, my network is not in use or accessible from approximately. 10pm until 7am. Is it better to just leave the unit on or should I turn it off during those hours?
