Spotlight search issue escalated (according to WD on X / Twitter)

ATTN My Cloud OS5 Users:
The Spotlight search issue was escalated to our engineering department for further review/analysis. Unfortunately, we can’t provide a schedule as to when a fix will occur. We appreciate your patience and understanding and apologize for any inconvenience.

Does anyone know what they are talking about? Is it about Spotlight on macOS?

Please know that the issue is related to Spotlight search on macOS. We have already escalated this issue to our engineering department for further review, analysis and issue duplication. Any fix would come in the form of an over the air device app, software or firmware update. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a schedule as to when a release will occur. We appreciate your patience and understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this issue has caused.
