"Sort by date" function problem

Hi all,

My movie collection doesn’t seem to be able to sort by date. I use the “find content” feature which automatically changes the movie title to it’s official title so I can’t  ad a sequencial number to keep the movies in order. By default I keep the list organised alphabetically, but when I need the movies organised by date, it just doesn’t seem to work properly. Anyone know why?

Here’s an example of my setup (listed in the default alphabetical order):

Fantasy (folder)

      Harry Potter Collection (folder)

                 Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

                 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

                 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

Here’s how it comes out when I sort by date so the movies are in order… but the “sort by date” feature doesn’t seem to work properly:

Fantasy (folder)

      Harry Potter Collection (folder)

                 Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

                 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone  

                 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Anyone know if I’m doing something wrong? or is there a glitch?

Hello,

Have you tried resetting the media player? also check the filter settings. to make sure that averything is in the right place.

Based on my experience the WD sorts based on the file date, not the date of the movie.
