Software to convert DTS in avi file

Hi guys,

Can someone suggest a software which can convert the audio code in avi file from dts to ac3?

I have used the software suggested somewhere in this forum to convert the audio in mkv file but it doesnt work for avi file.

Tried google but the results were not helping.

I tried several dts movies and it seems the pass through does work. I have an optical cable connected to AV receiver and it detects dts without problem. There is no sound on tv via hdmi but who cares.
