When copying files from my PC to a folder on my WD Mycloud transfer speed is varying between 8 and 16 Mbps. When i terminate smartware it goes up to approx 70 /80 Mbps.
Any sugestion?

When terminating Samartware I actually mean the WD Quick view in bottom desktopbar from windows 8.1.

I haven’t seen this before.
Can you please try resetting the unit and testing that again.
You can use a system only reset that wont erase the data on the drive.
Please see page 109 of the user manual for instructions.
