Smartware fails to complete backup to MyCloud

I setup smartware to backup to a public share of MYCloud. It proceeds fine for several hours then stops… Now on the smartware window the Backup and Retrieve taps are grayed out and when I click on the MyCloud device in the Backup target window, its asking me for my MYCloud user name and password? Why should it when it didn’t do it before and its a public share… Just as an FYI I did setup my MyCloud with Cloud Access disabled since I have no intention of accessing it from the internet…
