How can I use the WD Smart Drive as a simple storage drive - not for backup? It will not allow me to manually transfer files from my laptop to the drive. I had to remove the Smart software because it was causing performance issues with my memory.
I already have a dedicated drive for backups and I need a drive to manually store/archive older files. Thanks! Rickg0256
You can use the drive to copy your files manually, without SmartWate or any other software.
