Silly question on USB Drives

My Cloud OS 3 Personal & Network Attached Storage My Cloud EX2

Playing around a bit with a pair of 2.5" Passport USB drives. These are bus powered drives.

While each drive seems to work individually; it seems that plugging both into the EX2 ultra locks up the unit.

Anyone else have that experience; or is it just me?

Figuring it out. . . . .learning a bunch of stuff I am not sure I wanted to know.

Apparently. . . changing a USB drive from PUBLIC to PRIVATE that has many subfolders takes some time?
