Hi All,

I’m extremely confused with all the options and what different units do so could someone tell me please if I buy the
WD Live Streaming Media Player can I connect a HDD to put all my movies on it, say mkv’s and then use my tablet to watch those movies? Or for example connect using my smartphone and watch movies on it?

Or is this only possible with the hub?

Yes, you can access and play files on a HDD attached to the SMP on any Android device over your network.

However, you will not be able to access the files if you are not on your network.
