Share with me your new FW experience?

So for those who has installed the latest firmware and has answers to the following questions, it would be appreciated.

  1. does it sleep through the night or does it wake up constantly?

  2. does it still perform media scans and if it does, does it get locked up on one or two medias occasionalyy?

  3. does it recognize the attached USB drive

  4. if you reboot the cloud with the usb drive attach, does it hang?

  5. speed test? read writes? Samba speed?

  6. has anyone tried upgrading from 3.04 to the latest? or should I upgrade one firmware at a time?

  7. can we ssh in while the white light is on? I swear we could SSH in while white light was on with FW version prior to 3.04.

I’m suspecting that very little has changed, but that is just my cynicism speaking :stuck_out_tongue: eagerly waiting for enlightenment!

Let me know please…

So for those who has installed the latest firmware

Which latest firmware? It seems to be changing on a daily basis…

Probably a good idea for reports to identify which viersion of firmware they’re referring to.

well it would be nice to hear from you, since you have become a fixture in here :stuck_out_tongue:

what version are you running now and is anything fixed in it?

413 and 422. You don’t think I’m daft enough to try this OS3 stuff until it’s got out of post-beta testing…?

It sleeps, although I’ve never been bothered to check the logs for details.

I have media scans disabled.

I don’t use an external drive.

I have a 100Mb network, so my SMB speeds are pretty irrelevant.
