Share a folder outside my home network

I have a MyBook Live Duo. I would like to make it possible for a friend outside my home network to download some high res images, for example from temporarily created image folder (that folder only!) that he can access.

Is it possible?
If yes, how?

Try granting remote access to the share you would like for your friend to access.

But how do I limit the access to one folder alone…?
It seems that any user can access the “Public” folder
