Setup ex4100 pro on android but now says offline if accessed from mac - still works on android

Hi,
I set and established my cloud using my samsung tablet and it works fine. i have a mycloud account and log in through safari just fine but then it says my ex4100 pro is offline and thats as far as i can get - suggestions ?

I am using wifi and all 3 pieces of kit are linked to the same router. the samsung tablet still shows fine but the macs do not - one is el capitan and one is sierra.
