Setting Up Gen2 build

The directions for setting up a gen1 build environment is very detailed. But the instructions for the gen2
seems to be lacking. The statement Install compiler toolchain is not very clear. Does it mean to do an apt-get install
gcc?
Any help would be appreciated.
I have a build environment for the gen1 that works. I was able to copy the gen2 hdparm source to the gen 1 and build
hdparm. This code worked on the gen1 if it was linked as a static libraries.

There’s no official documentation available related to this. I was also unable to locate a dedicated guide within the WD Community.

Hopefully an experienced User will be able to assist.

So far no one has replied. The build instructions in the GPL source is not very clear.
