Setting up Android App

I purchased a My Cloud NAS from a guy on EBay and so far it’s working great, that is untill I tried setting up the Android app on my tablet to use the cloud. I get to the point where it asks for a 9 character device id that’s printed on the Quick Start Guide or on the label on the bottom of the device. Well all I got when I purchased this is the device, the power cable and a network cable,that’s it. So I look at the label on the bottom of the device, and there’s no device id printed on that either, turns out that this was a replacement device that the previous owner had received.

So now I’m stuck, is there any way I can find out what the device ID of this unit that I have?

First, look here,http://learn.mycloud.com/ , and determine if you have a My Cloud or My Cloud Home. The My Cloud Home has to have the nine digit code entered. The My Cloud doesn’t.

Then check here to see if you downloaded the correct app for your device.
