My boss is thinking of purchasing a DX4000, we’ve got several Samsung TVs (UN55ES6150) that we want to able access pictures, videos on there, but I’m seeing some compatibility issues reported. Is it possible to use PS3Media Server as a workaround, if needed?

This unit was tested with a Samsung UN46D8000 and worked fine, however your may need to setup Windows Media Player sharing for use without user level security. This is a MS Windows Feature and you can have both the Media Player function from 2008 R2 Dashboard and/or the Windows Media Player share server. Media Player uses share level security where the Dashboard Media Player uses user level security. Remember if you want to play using Windows Media Player and have security it is only the folder share. So be careful if you have content you don’t want displayed thoughout your network.
