Scared to update firmware

I just plugged up my first WD TV live and  I have 2.02.19 firmeware and all my files play.

What am I missing not upgrading to the latest firmware.

Read the release notes.   They’ll tell you.

And by the way, if you have firmware version 2.02.19, you do NOT have a WDTV Live, you have a WDTV Live HUB, and there’s a whole different forum section for that.
