my problem is that before my external hard drive is scanned i can see all my folders after the scan i only see some
in library or manual how can i change the setting in the wdlive so it wont scan ?

The device is suppose to scan the drive(s) if you power off, you can go to your media library and turn it off, but you will not be able to search your files using categories.
