It says the item may have lost in-transit But Previously Amazon Customer care said the item which they received was not the correct item so what was the item which they say they have received ?

I wasn’t annoyed or angered with you until you started your childish habit of deleting every replies you made, Not in this post but in my previous post… i answered your question with minitool partition wizard troubleshooting steps by following the links you referred and compared them with how they perform against windows disk management but while i proved you that the troubleshooting method fails, you deleted almost every reply you made in the previous thread which i made and this is very strange behavior and you blamed i have attitude issues… Maybe you misjudged the tone of my post, you need to understand that minitool is a 3rd party software which runs under windows operating system… Maybe 3rd party softwares may have lots of extra features which windows default disk management doesnt offer, but the issue which i had was core features of a disk which starts with partitioning itself… If Windows cannot seem to access those feature, then 3rd party software cant do it either as the underlying issue is within the disk itself. physical disk/board issue which might have occurred while the disk was shipped to my home by amazon or in the manufacturing line itself.

Imagine you spend 156$ for a brand new WD 6tb HDD and while you plug it on to your pc, it doesnt show up in file explorer and while you tried to find out the root cause, you noticed about the issue with gpt conversion error, you contact amazon, amazon asks to contact wd service center and while you call wd, they say all western digital hard disks are manufactured with Non Serviceable parts which means that they dont have any service centers and can only help with replacement… And Since my Product was well within the return timeline of amazon, i explained the issue further to amazon and they finally agreed to help and since the same 6tb model was unavailable in stock, they tell you that replacement option wasn’t available and refund is the only option, you trust their words and return it but after while they received the product as show in above images which i posted, they seem to claim i sended the incorrect item while the order trackers page says, the item was lost in-transit… which is true here ? …maybe for you, you might not feel 156$ as a loss but for me i respect my WD HDDs highly and the amount which i spent for it, so i wont give up without trying.

If all you are going to do is exit in the midway without being kind, why even participate ? Myself and others as wd customers come here to see the chances of increasing the likeliness of having our issues fixed not to feed more negativity. I didnt make my posts with the exception of wd will surely have my issues fixed but only with likeliness of having a positive mindset of getting this issue noticed to wd and see if there is a possibility to have our issues fixed… its just a matter of hope.

if you could be positive, you’re welcome and will be happy to converse with you positively and will keep the vibes good… if you cant, just leave… i’ll handle this issue by myself… this post was meant to be a rhetorical feedback to let wd know about the issue which a customer seems to have so they can see what they could do in the backend, it doesn’t necessarily mean i expect wd to react because in most cases i know they are very busy people.

Currently, after writing to jeff@amazon.com, it seems to have taken some effect after 2 days as i got three different kinds of mails as the personal managers/Assistants of Jeff/amazon.com seem to have read it and notified the upper management of amazon.in

This one is from Amazon Specialist team stating that the refund will not be provided with the claim that they have not received the correct item while the order tracking system of amazon.in seems to say the item may have lost in-transit…what is very suspicious for me is that,-> order tracking system of amazon.in says the item may have lost in-transit while amazon specialist team claims that i have sended/returned the incorrect item… so what was the item which they received and claiming to be as incorrect item ? While asked regarding this, amazon.in remains silent.

And then afterwards i also received these mails which i seemingly believe “Amazon Executive Relations” are upper level Management of amazon.in


We will have to wait for 5 days to see if anything good happens and justice is given because i think its not nice of a company with a size like amazon to not only say that the refund wont be given but they will also keep the product with themselves ? How is this fair ? How can i be held responsible for carrier losing the package ? The Pickup agent who collected the product from me performed the Quality check before he left the house.

Here are some points i have added in my reply mail to Amazon Specialist

Please try to understand, I only returned what I got and I am completely fine if you choose to deny refund at the end of your investigation BUT INSTEAD of Money/refund/or the HDD itself… WHAT I Really Want is that, I want to know what your team is claiming as Incorrect item ? So that i can check for myself if it’s the same item which we are talking about(i have returned) ? we need to have some Logic here, if Amazon claims the item which i returned was incorrect, then what was the item
which they received ?

I request you to please let me have a look at the incorrect item by sharing that image with me just so i can confirm that’s the one which i returned ?

Here are a few things which I would request you to try please.

  1. Contact the Salem Amazon Facility(courier office of amazon) and have a Video call with that Facility supervisor and the Pickup agent who collected the item from my home on November 3.
  2. Ask More questions to the pickup agent regarding this issue because before leaving my house, he checked the product first to make sure everything is inside the box(Quality Check), this includes MRP Tag, Bar code, Actual HDD, Warranty card, User Manual, Power Adapters and USB 3.0 Cable which came with HDD. Only after Confirmation, He Left the house.
  3. If the Product which the fulfillment center received was incorrect, perform more deeper investigation to see if any other customers of amazon who returned the item from Salem,TN is going through a similar issue like mine, Maybe Salem Courier team could have made some mistake with the outer packaging label which is the reason why your employees at fulfillment center seem to claim i sended the incorrect item(Mistaking another customer’s returned product as my return and vice versa).

I have been using Amazon since 2016 and have made purchases for more than 10+ Lakhs and the number of times i used the return feature should be less than 15 , while successful orders are above 750+
If you are not going to refund, atleast share me the info on the incorrect item, because more than money being lost or justice not being given, i dont like the fact that your investigation/fulfillment/Specialist team making me to feel that i have cheated amazon…if the returned item was not wd 6tb, what else was it then ? Please share the image with me so that I can confirm it’s the same item which I returned ?

Haven’t got the full updates but just wanted to post and let wd know what’s currently going on and what’s running in my head…

So that timeframe of their asked 5 days was over and also it seems like the customer Executive relations is flawed as the mail doesn’t accept incoming mails so i have no idea on how to get back to those individuals…

My Guess is that having my money refunded or having the same model as new item sended to me as “replacement” is going to be a hell of a process to deal with… So I have learnt my lesson and will just stay away from this amazon INDIA… Anything that will have associations with Amazon INDIA will always be ignored from now on.

Already Sended a 2nd mail to jeff@amazon.com about this delay and notified about closure of my amazon account if no solution is provided…

If no solution is offered like either issuing the refund or sending the replacement of same model before November 30, the amazon account of mine will be closed, that’s for sure…

I Could Just ignore this company and Never Look Back but the main problem for me as of now is getting the international brand items like wd HDDs, especially My Book drives, they can’t be found easily on the local computer stores… i used amazon primarily for getting computer items and other Electronics from Samsung and LG… i still buy some other items but those other items which i buy from amazon.in can be acquired easily in nearby local shops of my city…

I have been Going through “My Orders” Page and had a look of every items which i purchased and cross checked with other sources to see whether if i could get those same items back again without the usage of amazon and for like 99% of the ordered items, the answer seems to be always yes…

That Remaining 1% is most likely Only for Wd products and some Chinese products, those exact products can’t be found easily…

And even for those products, I am actively working of how to outsource them through other ways without the usage of amazon…

For the Case of WD products, i just discovered and decided, I will be using this store to buy WD products from now onwards…

i Bought a Custom PC from this store 4 months ago, i will make a separate post about this as i need to discuss about usb cascading solution and want wd to innovate something really cool especially for the use cases of WD HDDs… I also expect WD to expand their business and start building computer tables which has separate racks with WD enclosures and portable fans where we can just plug in the 3.5 internal drives or Shucked WD my book drives into those Specialized wd enclosures which are attached into the wd computer tables…

I have already done this which i will share when i post usb cascading thread, the problem with my method is that fans are not automated, i mean like i need to MANUALLY turn on the portable fans which i placed near the HDDs, its not like the fans are not turning on themselves while pc is turned on and also they are always running at high speed… would be really cool if the wd computer tables are really smart where it controls the fan speeds based on the disk usage and turns on automatically whenever only while the pc is turned on and turns off fans while pc gets shutdown… For AI based Fan control, i mean if disk is idling, fan might run at speeds of 35% and while performing intense read/write actions… it could increase fans speed automatically at 100%… i think this could be achieved by placing a sensor on the enclosure and pairing them with the fan board…

My other dream would be these WD computer tables(with specialized focus on 10 external enclosures(for 10 3.5 inch hdds) and 21 fans is that) it also includes a computer ups attached on the last bottom rack of the table…

I mean currently i have sine wave ups but i have noticed that in the rare events of short circuit, UPS aggressively turns off sending current/backup to all of the wall sockets which it has been connected to and i guess this is a protection measure to prevent the connected devices from being damaged…

Although the ups succeeds in protecting the devices, the data safety is still at risk, i mean the computer could escape sudden power loss if the pc was idling but if the disks was performing heavy write or read actions, there are chances of getting bad sectors, data loss, os corruption…etc so to ease up the stress, i think wd could integrate wd computer ups(which is isolated from the home ups) in their WD computer tables… i mean like every pc user who buys desktop and computer tables would be very happy if they could find a high quality 2000 Va ups attached in the WD Computer table…

Although there are some ups available, they are not like super smart to interact with windows… i mean like we cannot configure the ups to initiate shutdown as soon as it enters 3 minutes of battery mode… so that in a way, if we are not near the ups at the event of power outage, UPS Software installed in windows will perform the shutdown automatically without user input… the software can be engineered specifically in a way to handle file operations , i mean like if we are moving 270gb of data from one hdd to another hdd and if power outage occurs at 57% of file transfer operation, the wd ups software come into action and smoothly abort the file transfer and initiate shutdown…Although this could result in files not being moved properly, it could give peace of mind that all files are still safe…

Maybe wd can introduce their own file transfer software to handle file transfer operations with more advanced features like auto pausing the file transfer operation after hdd reaches a defined temperature like 45c so transfer option will be auto paused for 20 minutes to let the disk cool down and automatically resume the transfer operation while the temps reach 38c and also the attempt of auto shutdown while power outage is detected/defined timeframe… these are features which explorer.exe lacks… More than a random third party company/or indie developer,->>> i feel like HDD companies could accomplish in achieving this kind of advanced features properly…

Also, While i said 21 fans, its not like 21 fans being run at the same time(as this might increase both watts and amp consumption), i want these wd fans to be smart so that amongst all those 10 different enclosures which are placed in the different racks of the wd computer table, the only fans which will be running are the ones which are near the “Actively in use HDDs” ->>>>> If certain HDDs which are placed in the enclosures are not connected to the usb of motherboard then the fans near those WD HDD Enclosures can remain off… if we estimate 1 fan to consume 5 watts, then 21 fans consume roughly 105 watts which the ups can handle without any issues even if someone were meant to turn on all the fans…

Again, Here you could innovate this further, i mean the wd ups software can give more detailed statistics about the watts/amp consumption of the PSU and more details about the headroom… then, if the power consumption reaches a certain threshold where wd ups might start getting stressed out, the wd ups can now automatically slow down the wd fans…

The reason why we need fans because in most of the cases, the air is harder to reach the bottom rack of the tables so we need to have dedicated cooling solution… AC can help but not in the times of heavy winter…so someone has to work on innovating this…As far as i am aware, No companies in existence have managed to show this level of attention to detail for a computer table, so you be the first to accomplish it…

You can offer a wide range of variety like tables of different sizes, colors, max number of enclosures, max number of fans,2000Va ups, 2700VA ups…etc

Let’s Get back to this topic…

I noticed that amazon is actively copying the price of other sites… i mean, amazon keeps up their prices high but as soon as others reduce the price, they reduce it aswell

How i say this ?

Because i myself confirmed this, before 3 days while i purchased 6tb hdd from Ankit Infotech, at that same time while i made the purchase, amazon price of wd hdd was almost 3$ higher and on the next day after i purchased it, it was reduced like 1$ and only today, it came down again to the exact price of Ankit price deal

What i learnt from this experience ? Its not always the amazon who offers lower prices and helps customer save money…Local Stores could offer something more cheaper if we put the effort to discover those stores… Also from that last image, you could see a fan which is what i am currently using it for cooling HDDs but i cannot find that same exact model in other places…Does that mean i wont be closing my account?, No, Because i can always find many brands as fans have wider range of varieties, one such example would be

But this kind of discoveries/Quick alternatives cannot be discovered for HDDs as there are very few manufacturers who makes HDDs which makes them your only choice and i find it annoying why western digital India treats amazon like special snowflake and give 14tb and higher ranges only to them…

I always had thought it in that way until now*(Higher tbs are available only on amazon)* as my recent discovery of this new PC shop could also help me in acquiring these special wd HDDs…

Also, Does the New HDD which i got from Ankit Infotech is working ?

Yes, it works Perfectly… I shucked the drive specifically to get rid of WD Hardware Encryption and to have a peace of mind…


Main reason for shucking ? I hate wd hardware encryption…
i want to avoid getting into issues like this as much as possible

I dont even use a password for my pc… why would i need hardware encryption for HDDs especially while there is no fix if wd enclosure fails and the same exact model cant be found again ? Users will be locked out and i wont be the victim…

You’re often setting up a tech which will create a problem in the longer run and i will always do my best to escape your trap and if shucking helps, i will do it…
Its not like we are going to take all these data which is stored on hdd while we die, we need a reliable device that serves as tool for storing the data, idk why you’re overcomplicating it…

Also, i have noticed that shucking the drive out of wd my book enclosure and using QZ enclosure and dedicated fans keeps the drives to be much cooler…
And also i like the lighting effects of QZ Enclosures… I will show these effects by making a video and share it while i post usb cascading thread which is to manage 100 tb+ of HDDs across 10+ different HDDs all at the same time from the comfort of your keyboard area of desktop…

Previously i said, my collection was 114tb but that was wrong because the right answer was 118tb and then i got the 6tb model again after the psychic amazon false promised me like i will get refund and took the return…,

i mean i wanted to get that 6tb model again because that issue was always running in back of my head so i ordered it again just to have peace of mind(always had something is missing feeling in back of my head)…

So Even before the refund was issued, i took the risk and placed the same model again on November 5 while the older HDD which had issues was collected back on Nov 3 where the Schedule for it was placed on November 1

While the newer hdd order which was placed on Nov 5 WORKED, for the older one which i returned, I was hoping that amazon will refund me eventually so i could use it to buy the 6tb model again but these cheaters doesn’t seem to return the money back… and since i builded up the desire like im going to get another 6tb model, i couldn’t accept the reality of these cheaters denying refund and not getting back what i desired(as there was this “Something is missing” feeling/voice was always running in the back of my head and ruining my focus and happiness)…,so i ordered the 6tb model again from Ankit Infotech & got back what seems to be missing and it helped to increase my collection to 130tb(118tb + 6tb + 6tb)…All are Wd…

Though it seems like fatal that the money has been lost even though amazon.com has been trying their best to fix this issue…
compare the timeframe of both the time that the previous mail to Jeff during when it was sent and this new mail which i received on that very same day…

It seems like its either the higher authority of amazon.in Executive customer relations feels like a joke as they dont have proper sense of control to handle this kind of issue or its their shady shallow intention to not return the money back even though they pretend they are serious about it…

Overall, I am thankful to global amazon(amazon.com for setting up amazon.in in India but the current management of India could wreck the reputation of amazon.com and make them look like a third class cheap company)…

So its wiser for me to predict the dangers of shopping from amazon.in and avoid it by closing my account…i have to admit it, it was good while it lasted…but not anymore…

Although i could now buy HDDs from Ankit Infotech, i would be more happier if wd opens showrooms in important cities of India and helps us to buy wd products directly from there… it would be very helpful…

i think its always happening only in your head like you are dependent on someone like amazon.in but if we put meaningful effort, we could get almost anything we want without the usage of amazon.in…
