Saving a image of My Cloud drive on a smaller USB drive

I have a 2TB My Cloud Drive and a 1TB external USB drive.   Is there anyway to choose what on the My Cloud drive that I can backup or is there a way to parition the My Cloud drive to 2x 1TB drives.   I been using the web interface and the only option I see is to take an image of the whole My Cloud drive using SafePoint.    Thanks.

Hello,

You can use the smaller drive to run the safepoint only if the capacity of the safepoint is less than the drive that you are using.

Note that the safepoint is not really an image, it is essentially a mirror of the files across the shares, except that the shares are now directories in the safepoint. There is also system data stored in the safepoint location.
