Same problem daily

so far i havent had too many issues with my player, until recently its now saying no content source or last source removed every time i switch on, which then results in messing around resetting everything back to default and re adding to the media library, nothing has changed hardware wise its just started happening overnight, i stream from a wired connection from my 2xwd my book 2tb drives and so far as ive said i havent had a problem, this is frustrating when all i want to do is watch something and i have to spend 10-15 mins rebuilding everything, any help would be appreciated, thanks

Does a reboot of just the WDTV not fix it?

no, but tbh why should i have to keep rebooting it, why cant it just remember the settings, after a reboot i just get the same messages, so i have to pretty much clear everything and start again, when its working i wish i didnt have to use the media library to get content info, the media library **bleep** anyway but i have to use it for the cover arts etc

Well, it would seem to me that if rebooting the WD doesn’t fix it, then the problem isn’t with the WD. 

But, who knows…   I’ve never seen the issue, so I guess I can’t be sure… :wink:

The reboot is only effective after ive cleared everything first, then i have to re build it all again

I’m haveing similar issues. I have raised a report in the tech support area, you might want to add your issues to that report or create a new one. There does seem to be a few people with similar issues.

I found that when fully powering off (hold down the power button for 5 seconds), then powering back on the library came back after abbout 15 seconds, is that not happening with you?

My current theory is to do with the IP Address Lease Time (though TonyPh12345 does not think this is the case). I did a test 23 hours after a factory reset, everything was fine, then 25 hours after and the content had been removed.

With several people experiencing the same issues it really does need to be resolved. Incidentally, what firmware are you on, and was it working on previous firmware?
