Every time I do a manual safepoint update, a number of files that haven’t changed are copied. Most recently, what should have taken about an hour actually took 8 hours because of the unnecessary copying (the files happen to be videos, so they are very large). Does anybody have an idea why this is happening and what I can do about it? I’m using FW 02.43.10-048. The destination drive is a 3tb WD “My Passport Ultra” usb drive connected to my PC. It is formatted as NTFS. My OS is Windows 7 64bit. Thanks.

That’s a bit strange. Have you tried resetting the unit? or applying the firmware again?
