how much space is used for a Safepoint? Is it a 1 to 1 ratio, meaning when you have 1 GB of data, it will create a 1 GB Safepoint? Or is it compressed and less space is used? I’m trying to figure out how much space I need on my external USB drive to create a Safepoint. Thanks.
It is a 1:1 ratio for user purposes. The safepoint data contains and organizes all the data necessary to restore all content and settings, so it might be a few MB smaller than the original data (OS files, for example).
The nice thing is that you can access your content by unmounting the USB from the My Cloud UI and taking the USB with you.
