Safepoint MBL to HDD on iMAC

hi Guys,

I’m trying to create a safepoint from MBL (2TB) to a WD Passport HD connected via USB to my iMAC. I have shared the HD via iMAC system settings and assigned a password. When I try to create the safepoint, MBL identify the iMAC properly, but when I try to set username (my admin account) and the password that I set for the HD shared, it returns the error 30000.

Any ideas?

I would appreciate any kind of help.

Hello, try using the username/password that you use for your Mac, also check the link below for some other options you can try.

I discovered I needed to use the long name but enclose it in double quotes.

Didn’t get me very far though.  Once it got in the My Book Live couldn’t recognise any shares on the iMac even though they are SMB enabled and visible to Windows PCs on my network.

Any ideas anyone?
