Rsync - make ssh settings persistent

Hi 

The goal is to run rsync from a remote machine, with user permissions, as:   

rsync -av source user@192.168.2.xxx:/shares/myshare

That requires to allow ssh login permissions to the “user” in /etc/ssh/sshd_config file. OK done.   The problem is that:  every time I reboot the WD my cloud ex4  - all my settings in the ssh config files  become lost !  Why ?  

How can I make these settings persistent ?

This is type of modifications are outside of the scope of support provided by WD.

Hopefully other users will chime in and help with this issue.
