Would it be possible to add a simple way to set up a rsync deamon that would allow My Cloud to work as a remote backup server for other popular NAS? To me, and probably many other users, this would be most valuable.

I did. First I installed Internal Backups app, and then I modified init.sh or start.sh of the Internal Backup app with the instrucciones running Rsync Daemon.
