Retrieving pre-installed files for erased My Passport

Just erased/reformatted My Password. All pre-installed files that came with it are gone. Can’t do back up now cos WD Backup can’t find drive. Are those files needed to do back-up? If yes, where to find them? If not, how to do back-up now?? All possible help/solutions most welcome. Many thanks. RT

I found how to reformat the drive and it is now corrected.
