Retrieving files to a computer other then the one backed-up from

Is it possible to retrieve files from my 1TB My Book  that was backed up using auto - back up and have them copied to another computer than the one backed up from. If my computer fries or totally crashes and needs replacing or long-term fixing then I’ll want to use another machine in the mean time, so…
