I saved several files on the MyBook Essential before my old computer crashed. Now I want to retrieve some files, but when I plug it into my other pc, the retrieve button is unavailable. What do I need to do? I’m not seeing the My Book icon, whatever that is.
Hi dude, if you need to restore a Skynet (Smartware) backup then before you are able to retrieve you’ll have to make a backup of the new computer… Weird I know, but that’s how it works. You can also manually go inside the drive and copy the files out from the swstor folder.
