I have done a complete backup of two profiles on my laptop. I’m having trouble with the laptop so I want to do a complete system restore (this is a built-in option when I boot up). I’m just wanting to double-check something before I do the system restore. When I was looking at the retrieve on the backup drive it only lists the files from the current profile. I’m wanting to restore 2 existing profiles, but when I do the system restore those profiles will be completely wiped out. If I make the profiles over again on Windows (Vista) using the same names I’ll be able to retrieve the data off of the backup drive that was backed up from those profiles, correct? I’m not sure if this is just a silly question or not, but I want to be doubly sure that I’m doing everything right.
You need to run the smartware backup on each profile.
