I own a latest generation WDTV Live media player. One thing that annoys me is that from time to time it decides to reset the video output settings from 1080p to 720p. Is anyone else having the same problem?

I recommend that you contact Western Digital for assistance.
That’s a well-known bug that’s been around for quite some time. With match framerate set to “on”, you usually don’t get this.
