Replaced drives in MyBookDuo not recognized

hi!
I am working with a couple of MyBookDuo’s, Every Book is mirrored.

I replaced one set (was 2x 1 TB) with 2 new WD black 6 TB drives. Unfortunately the drives are not recognized by OS Disk Utilities or WD Raid Manager.

I am afraid the 2 drives might not be compatible with the older MyBookDuo or maybe something else?
Any suggestions?

Hi saskia_bf,

We recommend to use only WD Red™ or WD Green™ hard drives to replace the drives in My Book Duo device enclosure. The RAID configurations require both drives to be the same capacity. Using any other hard drive or capacity voids the warranty for your My Book Duo device.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
Both black drives have the same capacity. I am afraid I bought the wrong drives as you recommend Red or Green… Any advice how I can use the Black drives in another device?
