Replace Hard Drive in My Cloud Home

Hi All

Can someone please help me with the process for replacing the hard drive inside a MCH.
I am OK with the WD firmware/software but don’t have a USB - SATA cable to pre-format the new hard drive on another computer. Can I use a USB stick to get the original firmware on the unit with the new drive installed?
