Removing a My Cloud and My Book from Macbook Pro

We are selling our Macbook Pro, and would like to uninstall these two network drives so that complete strangers don’t have access to our information. If anyone could point us in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Whether that includes changing settings in My Cloud so it can’t be seen by just anyone, or changing settings in the Mac, I’m not sure.

The device is only accessible while in your local network. It is not “installed” as your Mac is simply displaying a network resource. To test this, disconnect your computer from your local network and it should disappear.

Thank you for helping this n00b. I connected it to a different network and the network drives were gone.

Thanks for your time.

My pleasure.

Make sure you log out of iCloud prior to selling or even formatting the MacBook Pro.
