The “Erase All Data” option is a very dangerous option, please secure it and make it more difficult to perform, what if someone else got access to the mobile or one of my kids was playing with the mobile, require re-authentication or verifying by sending a code to email or something similar.

Yes, that will work but you can also use Smart lock to prevent your kids from out of reach.
I already have it but they still have access to the mobile, also I want to protect against mistakes even from me
