Remove Downloaded File

I downloaded a large file from my MyBookLive to my iPad using wd2go.  How do I remove the file from my iPad without deleting it from my MyBookLive drive?

Just delete the file from the location it was downloaded

this will not affect the content on the MBL

Are you sure?  The “help” available from a wd2go menu item says that it will delete the file from the MyBookLive.

No no no! 

Delete it from the DOWNLOADS section, not from the location where it was downloaded FROM.

According to the wd2go help, if I delete the file using wd2go on my iPad, the file will be deleted from my MyBookLive.

Yes, that’s true if you delete it when you’re in the “Cloud” tab.

If you’re in the “Downloads” tab, it does *NOT* delete it from the MBL.

Try it yourself – put a new file on the MBL in the “regular” way.

Then open WD 2go.

Download the file.

Then delete it from the DOWNLOADS tab.

Then go back to the “Cloud” tab; the file will still be there.
