Remote uploads almost always fail

Trying to remotely upload files to a WD My Cloud Mirror Gen 2.

  • If I try to upload more than one large-ish (about 1Gb) video file at a time, then all will fail, or at best only the first will succeed.
  • They will look like they’re uploading fully (and take all the time), only to fail at the very last minute.
  • Once it’s failed (or uploaded just one file), the NAS becomes painfully slow to react to anything, and I can’t even move to another folder let alone upload anything at all successfully for at least 20 minutes.

This is truly ridiculous, and is making the whole remote access thing really painful for me. I only work with video files (usually MP4 or MOV), so I don’t know if this is the same for other file types, or smaller files.

Is anyone else having a similar problem, or can suggest any fixes to this? You’ll be saving my life (and my career!).
