I manage many tasks involving the PR4100 NAS offsite.
Most of the tasks involve pulling content from remote FTPs to the NAS.
While the HTTP and FTP download baked in solutions are good in a pinch for remotely downloading files to the remote NAS from remote locations - I am eager to hear if there is a great third party or alternative solution I may be overlooking outside of SSH’ing into the NAS. I’m aware this is a solution but I’d really rather not.
Ideally, I don’t want to have to function as the middleman in this scenario - grabbing data from the FTP to my location and pushing it to the NAS from my location.
I’ve scoured the internet but I have come up empty - surely other power users have addressed this somehow or have a solution.
Yeah, that sounds like a great use of my time. The built in tools are seriously lacking for my use case - reaching out about unsupported 3rd party options to a over worked outsourced support team sounds about as fun as playing in traffic.
