Running windows 8 on Surface Pro, I can easily find my WD Drive through simple file explorer on my network and videos play just fine on Windows Media Player M2TS AVCHD file and video but when I use the WD My Cloud Program it opens in Windows Media Player but says it can not play. What am I doing wrong makes no sense and it appears my Surface Pro is set up as a device in the WD control panel, it is listed as a connected device.
Did you check if you only have this problem with m2ts files?
sounds like a mount vs streaming through the wd app ( file compatibility with the streaming app…??)
