Have an old WD My Passport EHD, it was replaced and all the data transferred to a new external hard drive. Want to recycle the old one. Before want to insure that none of my data still exists: rep’d many helpful posts on how to do that via my computer. But none of it worked.
Called WD support: they told me to take a screwdriver and open up the drive, that would make the data (if there is any) unreadable.
Do you folks agree?
