Recovering a Windows Machine on the Network

MyCloud 4TB on network supporting several Mac’s, and Windows PC’s.

Using Time Machine from the WD MyCloud I am able to go back in time and completely rebuild any of the Mac’s, really powerful.

Recently one of the Windows PC got Troubleshoot blue screen errors - Microsoft Support and was completely broken.
Can the WD MyCloud restore a PC like Time Machine does for the Mac.

I do not see anyway to do this. Granted the WD Smartware allows you to backup your files, but what about the apps, etc.

Are there any WD solutions to this?

Yes but only if one has previously backed up the computer to the My Cloud using a backup program installed on the Windows PC.

The My Cloud is a network attached storage device. Time Machine is an app/program on the Macintosh, not on the My Cloud. WD Smartware that gets installed to a Windows PC can be configured to backup files/programs. See the Smartware Help to learn how to add custom folder locations.

One may be better off using a dedicated backup program either paid or free to backup the entire computer hard drive to the My Cloud. Usually these third party backup programs have more features and options than Smartware. For example the following free programs can be configured to backup a computer to the My Cloud. Some of these programs also offer the ability to create a boot disc to boot a Windows computer so the content can be restored from the backup location.
