Recover to a new computer

I am moving from a Windows XP systerm to a Windows 7 -64bit system.

The WD Smartware software installed fine.

The new system sees my MyBook Essential, and that there is data on the drive.

However, it won’t let me recover my files.

In the “home” tab, it shows the data is their. However when I go to “retrieve” it doesn’t allow me to access the data.

What can I do to get the data on to the new computer?

So, when I initially installed the new OS and plugged in the WD Drive, it only loaded SmartWare version 1.2.x.x.

I updated only the WD software while the drive was disconnected to version 1.4.x.x and everything seems to be working fine now.
