Does anyone know about workaround to play real media from WD TV Live. The specification clearly says it is not supported. Will there be any support in future?

The future is unknown. Real Media is very license heavy, so I doubt it’ll be supported. I don’t even know of any transcoders that will allow you to convert from .rm to something else, but there may be something out there…
Real Media Player itself has an utility from which you can convert it to other media type. But it takes lot of time.
I suppose it all depends on whether you want to play a realmedia file or realmedia stream.
