Re-use WD MyCloud

I loathe the MyCloud I purchased a couple months ago, resulting in this question:

Is it possible to remove the hard drive from a MyCloud and erase it to reuse as a ‘normal’ hard drive? I think I am past Amazon’s return time, not sure how long I can return it to WD for a refund. Anyway, want to buy another hard drive of the same size, and the prices aren’t that different, a little extra $$$ might not be bad to save the hassle.

yes you can. Obviously will need to partition and re format accordingly.
