Raptor sata 3 cable

Hi I bought 2 of the new 600 gig raptors, they are going to be used on a sata 2 system for a month or so. I know you have to use jumper 5,6 to put it in sata 2 mode, but can i use a normal sata 2 cable on the drive until i get my sata 3 system setup it fits ok but I just want to be sure.

As long as you use them on SATA 2 mode, you shouldn’t have any problem with old SATA cables. Make sure they make good connections. Don’t use old wobbly cables.
