RAID0 and Partitioning?

I have a question regarding RAID. Maybe some have already made experience with such a setup.

I have a G-RAID USB 8TB. For best performance I would like to use RAID0 which should result in 4TB of usable space (although the Mac shows 8TB, but that is besides the point). My question is the following. Is it possible to partition the RAID0 in a 1T & 3TB section? If yes (I guess it is technically possible), is this a recommended setup? I would like to use one partition for a bootable Mac OSX High Sierra backup, the other one for projects.

Thank you for any thoughts on this matter.

Best performance is RAID0 which means you get the full capacity as it is out of the box at 8TB. RAID1 is mirror, RAID0 is stripe and performance.

You do not partition on top of a RAID device you leave it as is for the full size of the device.

Ah, OK. Thank you, my fault. I thought that RAID0 would reduce the capacity as well. Even better then. So I will not use partitions, but full capacity.
