Question on WD60EFRX

I have just bought 3 of these HDDs. Although it is advertised as a compatible drive, I found out that they don’t work in QNAP 559 Pro+ NAS box.

I have a question: Do these drives have 3.3V reset on the 3rd pin? If so, I would conclude that perhaps backplane of my NAS box is not compatible 3.3V reset signal.

I can’t imagine why those drives wouldn’t work in your QNAP.

I have eight similar drives (WD80EFZX) in two QNAP TS431P NASes and they work great.

What are you referring to? Pin 3 on SATA connector is part of the transmit path. There is no reset pin.
