Hi! Since the Western Digital Support page only refers me to this page I was hoping you guys could help me out. The Western Digital 1TB Mybook has had a loose Original USB connection the last few months. Tonight the port that I would plug the original USB connection fell into the hard drive case. I’m not sure what to do right now. I know the connection worked even when the port was loose, so im sure my data is still probably on there. I’m not sure what to do however to connect the port back up since there’s no screws on the external drive

It may be helpful to provide additional information related to your hard drive like the exact model number. Unfortunately WD doesn’t offer case replacements at this time but some experienced board members have performed repairs. However, I would still recommend a dedicated data recovery service to prevent further damage to your hard drive and your data.
