Question about mycloud

I want to know if you can run programs like video editors, audio editors etc on your wd my cloud or is it mainly a storage only device??

Also can you store Games on there and mmo game installs on there and be able to run them from your other computers when you want to play them or no?

also how do you setup a fixed ip address?

is there a power switch to turn this off it i dont use it for a few days?

Installing programs or games is not supported.

The drive will go in stand by mode after a period of inactivity, However, you can go on the dashboard and shut down the drive if you want.

Go to Settings > Utilities > Device Maintenance > Shut Down.

thank you following your advice about static ip im a little lost with it do i go and use my router settings to set it up as static or do i assign it an ip from the router dashboard

It is simpler, IMO, to do it from the router.
